Located at 40 Jong-ro 17-gil, Jongno District, Seoul, South Korea, Yujin Restaurant is a Korean restaurant that has built a strong reputation among locals and visitors looking for traditional Korean flavors. From the moment I stepped inside, the atmosphere felt simple and welcoming, focusing more on authentic food and dining experience than unnecessary distractions. It is the kind of place where the menu speaks for itself, and many reviews highlight the consistency of its classic Korean dishes.

One of the standout items on the menu is 평양냉면 녹두지짐, a combination that showcases traditional flavors in a balanced and satisfying way. The cold noodles offer a refreshing taste, while the mung bean pancake adds a hearty texture that pairs naturally with the meal. Another dish that immediately caught my attention was the 설렁탕. Rich, comforting, and deeply flavorful, it is the type of soup that feels especially satisfying during dinner.

For diners looking to explore a wider range of Korean cuisine, the 홍어무침 delivers a distinctive flavor profile that many seasoned food lovers appreciate. The 회냉면 is another popular choice, offering a refreshing combination of cold noodles and seafood-inspired flavors. Meanwhile, the steamed pork provides a tender and savory option that complements many of the restaurant’s traditional side dishes.

It is worth noting that there is no wheelchair accessible parking lot available at the restaurant. Visitors planning their trip may want to consider nearby transportation options before arriving. What customers say?

“ Recommend dish here are Seolleongtang, Mul Naengmyeon and green been pancake. I ordered the wrong soup,it's not the one I want, so I got pork head soup it is greasy and bland taste. The green beans pancake was a bland taste too. Also, mul naengmyeon was a bland taste. The noodles and sliced meat were good. ”

“ Was looking for Pyongyang style cold noodles and found this place via Google. A little hard to find as I couldn't read Korean. The barber next door was very helpful when I asked for "Eugene" restaurant. There was an outdated Japanese menu (at least it has photos) but the prices are off. Cold noodles (non spicy) are 8000 won and green bean pancake was 7000 won. Overall the food was quite good, the cold noodles wasn't as exciting as I expected. That was a 3.5. mung bean pancake chijimi was pretty good but a bit thick, that was a 4. Friendly enough service, very local clientele which is a first in Seoul for me. Near anjuk metro, walk along insadong-gil and turn left, then walk past some homeless people and this area is full of local eateries. Takes credit cards!! ”

“ The food here was excellent. We had the onion pancake, cold buckwheat noodles with chili sauce, and the beef & rice soup. Be prepared to wait as the place is small but very popular. ”
